IMPRES stands for: Intelligent Motorola Portable Radio Energy System. NOTE: the full functionality of the IMPRES charger can only work with IMPRES smart batteries. However it shall function as a rapid charger for standard Motorola batteries NiCad NiMH or Lithium Ion.
